Nebraska wide receiver Isaiah Garcia-Castaneda suffers ACL injury

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska wide receiver Isaiah Garcia-Castaneda suffered a season-ending injury against Minnesota on Thursday.

During a Monday press conference, head coach Matt Rhule confirmed that Garcia-Castaneda tore his ACL.

Rhule said multiple players, including Malachi Coleman and Jalen Lloyd, will help fill the California native’s role.

“So we’re just gonna have to kind of go with the guys that are there and trust and believe they’ll make the plays,” he said.

Garcia-Castaneda caught one pass for 7 yards in the Minnesota game.

“Really one of the great stories on our team and sad for him, really sad for him,” Rhule said.
