Matt Rhule goes ‘old school’: No more social media ahead of Colorado game
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Matt Rhule is blocking out the noise.
The Huskers are taking on Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday, reigniting a decades-long rivalry.
And all eyes are on the new leader of the Buffaloes, who defeated then-No. 17 TCU on the road last week.
But Rhule said Thursday that all of the focus is on the game, not the talk surrounding it.
“Every year I delete Twitter and Instagram, and I just kind of live my life old school,” he said.
Instead of scrolling on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, Rhule said he would read a newspaper.
“Nothing about this game for us is anything other than football,” he said.
If Nebraska defeats No. 22 Colorado, it will be the Huskers’ first ranked win in seven years.
