Ricky Turco Sentenced

Ricky Turco is headed to prison.

Thursday a judge sentenced him in connection with the death of 15-year old Meghan Churchill, and for a burglary that took place at Lincoln High in May.  

In all, Turco faces up to 21 years in prison.

He appeared in court Thursday, he said little, but did apologize for Meghan Churchill's death.

But her family says it's too little too late.

18-year old Ricky Turco was officially senteced to 10-to-14 years in prison for manslaughter…plus another three-to-seven for breaking in to Lincoln High.

But he'll be eligible parole in just under seven.

Turco was facing up to fourty-five years if convicted on all counts.

Family members say his in-court apology was the first time he's shown any remorse.

Authorities say Turco was driving at an excessive speed, before crashing into a tree….killing Meghan Churchill.

He pled no contest to a charge of vehicular manslaughter in August.

While on bail police say Turco along with three others burglarized Lincoln High causing $15,000  in damage.

All totaled, Turco faces up to 21 years behind bars.

But could get out of prison in about 6 an half years.

In court today he said the media is responsible for making him look like a bad person.
