Nebraska knocks off Stanford in four sets

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska volleyball won in four sets Tuesday night, defeating Stanford on the road for the first time.

The Huskers’ 25-23, 25-16, 19-25, 25-21 victory was their first win over the Cardinal since 2008.

No. 5 Stanford was No. 4 Nebraska’s highest-ranked foe of the season so far.

But the Huskers came out swinging, hitting .333% overall and .696% in the second set, a season best. Stanford hit .218%.

Merritt Beason led the way with 15 kills, followed by Harper Murray with 12. Murray also had three aces.

Lexi Rodriguez recorded 12 digs, and Bekka Allick led in blocks, with eight.

The Huskers have won every match of the season in three or four sets.
