Two injured in three-vehicle crash near Fremont
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Two people were injured Monday afternoon in a crash near Fremont.
It happened about 4 p.m. on U.S. Highway 77 between county roads R and S, according to the Saunders County Sheriff’s Office.
A northbound Chevrolet Cruze was “driving all over the roadway,” the sheriff’s office said in a press release.
It hit two southbound vehicles, a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Ram pickup truck, authorities said.
The driver of the Cruze, a male, was taken to Fremont Methodist Health, then flown to the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
His injuries could be life-threatening, the sheriff’s office said.
The female driver of the Jeep was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The driver of the pickup was not hospitalized.
The sheriff’s office thinks alcohol was involved, though the investigation is ongoing.
The drivers of the Cruze and pickup were not wearing seat belts, authorities said.
