Motorcyclist injured in crash with truck at southeast Lincoln intersection

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A motorcyclist was injured Wednesday in a crash with a box truck in southeast Lincoln.

The crash happened around 9 a.m. at the intersection of 58th Street and Old Cheney Road.

Police said a box truck was turning onto 58th Street when it struck an eastbound motorcycle on Old Cheney Road.

The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.  A part of westbound Old Cheney Road was temporarily closed.
