Crete outlasts Lincoln Pius X in close contest
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Crete Cardinals took on the Lincoln Pius X Thunderbolts on Friday.
Crete won 30-26 over the Thunderbolts.
The Cardinals took a 6-0 lead with four minutes left in the first quarter from the 42-yard line.
A few plays later, Crete deflected a pass from Pius to scoop and score, ending the first quarter up 13-0.
The Thunderbolts kicked off the second quarter by running in a touchdown from the 19-yard line to put them on the board.
