Lincoln’s Foster Care Closet closes for a week to prepare for colder weather
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Foster Care Closet in Lincoln is closed this week as it prepares for colder weather.
The nonprofit near 25th and Randolph streets serves kids in the foster care system by allowing them and their families to pick out new clothing and other items.
The closet is switching to winter clothing items as colder weather approaches.
On Sunday, the closet is hosting a pop-up shop in the gym of Elliott Elementary from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Those wanting to attend must bring the master case number for the foster child, officials said.
The nonprofit is hoping to serve over 100 youth during Sunday’s event.
