2019 Mathcounts competition brings the best and brightest from around Lincoln

 

Some of the best and brightest middle schoolers from across the city got together to compete in the 2019 Mathcounts competition.  

In one of the competitions, they built bridges and different wind turbines with CDs and paper straws, but for the organizers, a day like today is about making learning fun.

“It’s a big deal this is a lot of fun for these kids, math, and science are so important in our country in the job markets and STEM subject the science and Mathematics type subjects they don’t get the spotlight like they should these are the brightest minds in the state and we are trying to courage more of this participation,” Brian Meyers Co-Coordinator of Mathcounts said.

These kids were handpicked from teachers and administrators to be a part of the Mathcount teams.
