Nebraska volleyball survives scare from No. 17 Purdue

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska fought its toughest fight yet of the season on Friday night, defeating Purdue on the road.

The No. 17 Boilermakers took the No. 2 Huskers to five sets for the first time this year.

But Nebraska prevailed 23-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-29, 15-12.

Harper Murray led Nebraska with 21 kills. Merritt Beason had 19, and Andi Jackson tacked on 12.

Laney Choboy recorded 14 digs, while Bergen Reilly had 12 and Murray added eight.

Bekka Allick led in blocks, with eight. Jackson finished with seven.

The Huskers (12-0) play at Indiana at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The match will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
