UPDATE: Motorcyclist dies from injuries after crash in northwest Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A motorcyclist is dead after a crash early Wednesday morning in northwest Lincoln.
Lincoln Police said a motorcycle and SUV collided just before 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of First Street and Nance Avenue.
Police said the motorcycle was heading north on First Street before colliding with the SUV, which was turning left from Nance Avenue.
The motorcyclist, a Lincoln man in his 20’s, was taken to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The SUV driver, who was not injured, failed to yield, according to the police report.
Lincoln police say no citations have been issued at this time.
The road reopened at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
