First frost of the season possible Saturday morning
Following a chilly Friday, temperatures are expected to drop overnight Friday into Saturday morning. Many will wake up to temperatures in the 20s and 30s. We slightly warm into the 60s on Saturday, before temperatures heat up a bit more more on Sunday.
A chilly start to the day, overnight Friday into Saturday morning temperatures are expected to reach freezing/below freezing temperatures for much of the state. Widespread frost is likely.
There is potential on Saturday October 7, 2023 to see our first frost of the season. If you have any sensitive vegetation make sure to cover plants and plumbing, as our first freeze is coming. A Freeze Warning and Frost Advisory are in place from midnight until 9:00 am on Saturday.
We are not expected to warm up a whole lot on Saturday, highs will only reach the lower and mid 60s. Temperature trends will be up and down through next week, with many days in the 60s and 70s.
Other than below normal temperatures, we’re looking at mostly sunny skies throughout the next few days. Plenty of dry time expected into the middle of next week, with small chances for storms Wednesday and Thursday.
