Families receive a big Christmas from the People’s City Mission

On Christmas afternoon families at the People’s City Mission got to open gifts after hundreds of donations from all over the state.
For the more than a dozen families who are able to receive Christmas gifts, having the community come together to help them out, makes them grateful for what they have.
“We are very blessed to and we want to thank everybody. Just we are so happy. Thank you,” said Rosa Arellano a mother of 4 said.
The People’s City Mission would like everyone in the Lincoln community to know that even though Christmas is over, you can still give back in a big way.
“I would encourage people throughout the year not just financially but giving of things you don’t need. You know January is a great time to clean out your closet, maybe you have some other stuff for Christmas, volunteer you’re time a lot of ways to give,” Pastor Tom Barber of the People’s City Mission said.
