Nebraska volleyball’s Lexi Rodriguez named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Libero Lexi Rodriguez is representing the Huskers in this week’s Big Ten awards.

On Monday, the conference named Rodriguez the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week.

The undefeated Huskers are coming off wins against Michigan State and Penn State last week.

In Friday’s game against the Spartans, Rodriguez had 16 digs.  She had another 18 digs in Saturday’s matchup with Penn State.

Nebraska is traveling to Evanston, Illinois, to face Northwestern on Wednesday.

The Huskers will then return home Saturday for a game against No. 1 Wisconsin.  That game is being broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
