Woman snuck into job site, stole tape while workers ate lunch, Nebraska police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A woman is behind bars after police say she snuck into a job site in Grand Island and stole a roll of painter’s tape.

Crystal Michaelski snatched the item while workers were in the driveway eating lunch, according to the Grand Island Police Department.

This happened on Friday around 1:15 p.m., near North Wheeler Avenue and West Fifth Street.

Michaelski is then accused of going next door and trying to force her way into the property before being removed.

Police said no one in the area knew who she was or gave her permission to be there.

She was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
