Nebraska volleyball takes No. 1 spot in national poll after win over Wisconsin
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska now holds the top spot in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll.
The Huskers defeated their archrival, then-No. 1 Wisconsin, in a five-set thriller on Saturday.
In the updated poll Monday, Nebraska received 63 first-place votes, and the Badgers moved down to No. 2.
The victory broke NU’s 10-game losing streak against the Badgers, who have been a consistent hurdle in Nebraska’s paths to conference and national titles.
Nebraska and Wisconsin will play in a rematch on Nov. 24. The Huskers are the only undefeated team in the Power Five.
