Inmate convicted of murder, arson and sexual assault dies at Lincoln prison

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A 70-year-old inmate died Saturday at the Reception and Treatment Center in Lincoln.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services said Clifford Davlin was being treated for a medical condition, but his cause of death is unknown.

Davlin was serving a 55-year to life sentence for several charges, including second-degree murder, arson and first-degree sexual assault.

A grand jury will investigate Davlin’s death, as required by Nebraska law.
