Nebraska’s Bergen Reilly, Merritt Beason snag weekly Big Ten awards

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A pair of Husker volleyball players earned weekly Big Ten awards as Nebraska’s undefeated season continues.
The conference announced Monday that Merritt Beason is the Big Ten Player of the Week.
She is the first Husker to win the award three times in one season since Mikaela Foecke in 2018.
In wins over Northwestern and Wisconsin, Beason had 4.25 kills and 1.75 digs per set. She also had five blocks and two aces.
Freshman Bergen Reilly was also named the Big Ten Setter of the Week.
She is the first Husker to earn that award three times in one season since Kelly Hunter in 2016.
Reilly averaged 11 assists and 2.88 digs per set in the pair of wins last week.
