Nebraska volleyball’s Merritt Beason named national player of the week

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska volleyball’s Merritt Beason earned national attention for her performance last week.
On Tuesday, the American Volleyball Coaches Association named Beason the national player of the week.
Beason led the Huskers to wins over Northwestern and Wisconsin last week.

She averaged 4.25 kills, 4.75 points and 1.75 digs per set in the two matches.
In the win against the Badgers, Beason had a match-high 21 kills and seven digs.
On Monday, the Big Ten announced that Beason was the conference’s player of the week for the third time this season.
