Rain or shine the people of Columbus love their parade, and they will support their town through any type of weather, which they proved today.

Even on a rainy Sunday afternoon the Columbus days parade marched on.

"Pretty amazing only a small town U.S.A. right? You don’t get this in New York or a bigger city so it’s pretty special," says Scott Schafer a Columbus Resident.

To cap off Columbus days weekend it was the town’s parade, and these folks were not going to let 2 inches of rain stop them.

"It’s a good turnout I mean up and down the street everybody is having a good time," added Schafer.

For the people who came out it’s all about supporting the town they care about.

"I feel like people care about the people who do things for Columbus and that the just love Columbus," added 12 year old Carys Graham of Columbus.

For these Columbus residents, it was the perfect send off for the whole weekend.

"But just topping it off with the parade and stuff, gets the business owners and the investors in Columbus out here and I think they enjoy it and I think they’ll like that and it gives them a chance to show off who they are," says Schafer.

Although the parade did not get slowed down by the rain, some other events did get canceled
