To help celebrate the 20th anniversary of the SAC Aerospace Museum they held a carnival inside the more than 300,000 square foot facility for everyone to enjoy.
"we hold family events often to bring people out to museum it’s another way to engage with the community so they can come out and support us. We are a non-profit and we just like to provide opportunities for families to come out and see the aircraft to see the history we’ve got 70 years of history here the museum," says Deb Herman the Marketing Director for SAC Aerospace.
It was not only just fun carnival games they even had exotic animals visit including snakes, hedgehogs, and even a tarantula.
"It was pretty scary I had my daughter with me so she was freaking out but I mean it turned out okay," said Nina Ruwe who held the tarantula.
But for some families like the Boling family this is a great event for them to learn more about the community.
"Just a chance to get out of the house and have some fun with my daughter, we just got out here, we just moved here so we’ve been kinda busy and get to see a little bit of the area and have some fun with her," said Micaela Boling.
Including the fun animals for people to interact with there was face painting, and some of the kids even got to meet their heroes, Captain America, and Spider-Man .
"Just gives you a warm feeling to some of these kids you are a real super hero. You’ve their first experience dealing with a bigger world and it’s nice to be a kid and have that sense of wonder. So yea it’s great it’s good to feed into that," said Andrew Bryne who was playing as Captain America.
It was clear that it was a fun day for everyone involved.
