Husker men’s hoops defeats Lindenwood in season opener
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska men’s basketball started its season on Monday by trouncing Lindenwood.
Five Huskers scored in double figures in the 84-52 win.
They were led by Sam Hoiberg. The son of coach Fred Hoiberg scored 15 points.
Rienk Mast, Brice Williams and C.J. Wilcher each had 13 points, and Josiah Allick scored 11.
Allick led in rebounds, with eight. Mast, Jamarques Lawrence and Jarron Coleman added six apiece.
Nebraska shot 48% from the field and 36% from beyond the arc.
The Huskers host Florida A&M at 7 p.m. Thursday. The game will be streamed on Big Ten Plus.
