Woman robbed of $30 after being hit with baseball bat in Lincoln, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two men assaulted and robbed a woman Saturday in a Lincoln neighborhood, police say.

Around 11:20 a.m., a woman was walking near 14th and Sumner streets when she was approached by two men.

Police said one of the men hit her with a baseball bat in the head and leg.

The other man pulled out a knife and took $30 out of the woman’s purse, according to police.

The victim walked to the U-Stop at 13th and South streets and called police.  She was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Police described one man as having a heavy build with shoulder-length hair.  He was wearing blue jeans and a jacket.

The other assailant is about 6-foot-3 with a muscular build.  He was in a black ski mask, T-shirt and jeans, according to police.
