Deputy provides update in deadly shooting at northwest Lancaster County home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office provided an update Wednesday on a deadly shooting at a home earlier this month.

On Nov. 3, Robert Boshart and JoAnn Boshart, both 62, were found with gunshot wounds at their home near Northwest 98th and West Adams streets.

JoAnn was pronounced dead at the scene, and Robert was taken to a hospital.  He was pronounced dead on Nov. 6.

Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said a .22-caliber revolver was found on the bed.  It has since been sent in for DNA testing.

“We are still working on shot angles to help determine what occurred in the bedroom,” Houchin said.

The revolver was the only weapon found at the home.

“Until all investigative steps are completed, the sheriff’s office will not be making a statement on the sequence of events that occurred,” Houchin said.
