One killed, multiple injured in rollover crash on rural Nebraska road

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – An 18-year-old was killed Thursday morning in a crash on a rural road southwest of Grand Island.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened around 1:40 a.m. near Schauppsville Road and Wildwood Drive.

A vehicle was heading north when the driver lost control.  The vehicle rolled, ejecting two people.

One of the ejected passengers, 18-year-old Brennan Villatoro of Grand Island, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and four other passengers were taken to a hospital in Grand Island.  The extent of their injuries is unknown.

The sheriff’s office said that alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash and that criminal charges are pending.
