Two men arrested in string of Walgreens robberies in Omaha

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two men were arrested Sunday in a rash of Walgreens robberies across Omaha.

The Omaha Police Department said several Walgreens stores were robbed between Nov. 12 and Sunday.

Around 5:50 a.m. Sunday, a man robbed a Walgreens near 50th and Center streets.

An employee told officers that he had a hand in his pocket and demanded money.

Police said the man took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

After an investigation, officers went to an apartment building near 27th Street and St. Marys Avenue.

Officers arrested James Cooper, 45, and Jeffrey Walton, 63, on suspicion of four counts of robbery.
