Snow possible in southeastern Nebraska on Saturday
Light snow is possible south of the I-80 on Saturday, snow chances come to a halt on Sunday with mostly sunny skies. When traveling within the next day or two, stay weather aware as roads may be slick from any snow.
Following Friday’s first round of snow for the western half of the state, Saturday will bring light snow chances from the south for many southeastern counties. Mostly cloudy skies and flurries are possible early Saturday, with better chances for light snow in the afternoon into the early evening.
Snow will be heaviest in western and southwestern Nebraska. Light snow is more likely the more north and east you go. Most of south/southeastern Nebraska will see snow on Saturday, during the second round. Lincoln could see snowfall accumulation ranging from a trace to an inch.
The highest probability for snow on Saturday will be in far southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa.
A Winter Storm Warning is in place for parts of the panhandle and SW Nebraska through early Saturday.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for some SW and central counties though Saturday night.
*A Winter Weather Advisory for parts of SE Nebraska is in place until early Sunday morning.
Regardless of the chance for snow, you will want to bundle up our high temperatures will only reach the mid 20s and lower 30s. The added wind chill will feel more like the teens and low 20s when you are outside.
