LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – An inmate in Sarpy County was found dead Saturday morning, officials say.
Paul Doty, 21, was found unresponsive in his cell, and life-saving efforts by the Papillion Fire Department and corrections officers were unsuccessful, Sarpy County officials said.
The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office, Douglas County Crime Lab and other agencies arrived to investigate.
Doty was booked into the Sarpy County Correctional Center on July 18 on charges of possession of child pornography, enticement by electronic communication device, visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct and disturbing the peace.
His family has been notified.
“The Sarpy County Department of Corrections extends condolences to the inmate’s family,” the county said in a press release.
