Huskers sweep Missouri to advance to Sweet 16
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The top-seeded Nebraska volleyball team swept No. 8 seed Missouri on Saturday night in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
The Huskers won 25-14, 25-19, 25-21 to advance to the Sweet 16.
Nebraska dominated from the start, going on a 7-0 run to open the match.
And NU totaled 14 blocks in a strong defensive performance.
The Huskers outhit the Tigers .264 to .089.
Merritt Beason led with 12 kills, and Bergen Reilly racked up four aces.
On defense, Lexi Rodriguez recorded 11 digs, and Reilly added 10.
Bekka Allick made eight blocks.
Nebraska will face No. 5 seed Georgia Tech in the next round of the tourney.
