Lincoln Public Schools students participate in ‘Iron Chef’ inspired culinary competition
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Public Schools hosted its 18th annual culinary competition at the Career Academy on Wednesday.
Over 260 students took part in the “Iron Chef” inspired competition, which included contests like dessert plating, knife skills and cookie decorating.
Kristin Vest, a family consumer sciences curriculum coordinator, said the district is thrilled to give students the opportunity to compete.
“These opportunities are hands-on,” she said. “They’re what get students excited about school.”
