Nebraska felon sentenced for having arsenal of 16 guns

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A felon will spend three years in prison after being caught with 16 guns, the U.S. Attorney’s Office says.
Eric L. Eggers, 39, of Oxford was sentenced in federal court Tuesday for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
On Aug. 24, 2022, law enforcement searched Eggers’ home and found 16 firearms.
Eggers was convicted of felony DUI in Buffalo County in 2012, according to court documents. So he was prohibited from possessing guns.
U.S. District Judge John M. Gerrard also sentenced Eggers to three years of post-prison supervised release.
There is no parole in the federal system.
