Food Friday: Tam O’Shanter under new ownership, keeping the Lincoln staple alive

It’s been a Lincoln staple for more than four decades, but not too long ago, Tam O’ Shanter at 25 & O Streets was on the verge of closing.

New owners Patrick and Karen Gray swooped in in December, becoming only the fourth owners of the local favorite since it’s debut in 1973.

Despite many changes over the years, the signature food and hometown atmosphere have stayed the same.

The Gray’s say they’re happy to keep a classic local restaurant on the map.

“I think it’s great to have the local restaurants stay here and open and people from generations can keep going,” Patrick Gray said.
