More snow and colder air on the way to eastern Nebraska
We started the week with a winter storm, and now we are going to end the week with more winter weather.
Another storm system is going to bring snow and gusty winds across the region from Thursday afternoon through early Friday evening.
A Winter Storm Warning (pink) is in place for some eastern counties from 3 p.m. Thursday until noon on Friday.
Accumulating snow and strong winds are expected.
The snow will be different from the heavy, wet snow we saw on Monday and Tuesday. We are expecting light and fluffy snow.
And when mixed with high winds, blowing snow is possible, making visibility difficult.
A Winter Weather Advisory (light purple) is in place for much of the state from 3 p.m. Thursday until noon on Friday.

The winter storm lingers over parts of south-central and southeastern Nebraska.
Travel will likely be impacted during Thursday evening and Friday morning/evening commutes.
Friday morning wind chills will reach anywhere from minus 10 to minus 25 degrees.
Northwesterly wind speeds of 20 to 25 mph, with gusts ranging from 30 to 40 mph, will bring cold air across the state.
A Wind Chill Advisory is in place for much of central and eastern Nebraska from Thursday night until Friday morning.
Wind chills as low as minus 25 are possible. The dangerous cold can cause frostbite in as little as 10 minutes to any exposed skin.
A Wind Chill Watch is in place for nearly the entire state from Friday evening until Tuesday morning.
Wind chills as low as minus 45 are possible. It is important to have ways to stay warm and weather alert the next several days.
Snow totals are likely to be higher in eastern Nebraska, with many seeing 3 to 6 inches or more over Thursday and Friday. Some isolated areas could see 8 or more inches of snow.
