Warm and dry outlook after this week

HELLO SPRING!!!  The good news is above normal temps into early May.  The bad news is after some precip this week, things start to turn drier toward months end and into the first part of May.  Let’s hope this trend does NOT continue as we do need some moisture.  A persistent NW flow in the upper levels of the atmosphere will bring periodic shots for showers and storms through the end of this week but as a ridge of high pressure builds in next week, things start to dry out.  It’s been a slow start to severe weather season and will likely continue into May as the main storm track remains to our south with no track northward through mid May.
