Nebraska man dies after pickup truck crashes into creek

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man died last weekend after a pickup truck went into a creek in eastern Nebraska.

Around 7:30 a.m. Sunday, a passerby saw a vehicle in a creek on 180th Street southwest of Springfield.

When first responders arrived, they found a Chevrolet Silverado upside down in the creek, according to the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office.

The vehicle’s only occupant, 36-year-old Jeremy Stuhr of Louisville, was found dead inside.

Authorities think that he went off the road at a curve.

The sheriff’s office said the crash happened a few hours before the vehicle was found.

An autopsy has been scheduled.
