UNL students and staff volunteer at Center for People food distribution

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Students and staff at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln spent a couple hours volunteering Tuesday afternoon.

They helped pass out products during the Center for People’s food distribution.

Anyone registered at the center could pick up fresh produce, canned goods, diapers and more for free.

The UNL volunteers helped to keep the lines moving and the food stocked up.

One student, Kaden Boyer, said his friend invited him along.

“It just feels really good to help people,” he said. “I think it’s great what this organization does and how they give out food. I’m just glad I can help out in any way.”

The Center for People hosts food distributions Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. And on Tuesdays, there is an additional one from 3 to 5 p.m.
