Man left Lincoln Scheels with $700 worth of unpaid merchandise, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are searching for a man who stole several items from a south Lincoln sporting goods store last year.
On Nov. 4, a man went into Scheels near 27th Street and Pine Lake Road and stole $700 worth of merchandise.
Police said he left in a black Chevy Blazer with license plates registered in Eagle.
Investigators have been unable to contact the vehicle’s owner. But police don’t think the owner is the thief because their ages don’t match up.
Police are also looking for a man who used counterfeit $100 bills at several Lincoln businesses in November.
On Nov. 2, a man went into Marcus South Pointe Cinema and bought a movie ticket with a fake $100 bill.
He left with $92 in real cash — and without watching the movie, police said.
The man also used counterfeit bills at the downtown movie theater and Cold Stone Creamery.
Anyone with information on either case is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
