UNMC hosts ‘Living Library’ event highlighting women’s health
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha will host an event in February that highlights women’s health.
“Living Library” will be held on Feb. 8. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There will be women present to serve as “living books” to share their life with a medical condition.
These conditions include breast cancer during pregnancy, dissociative identity disorder and a rare disease called hyperemesis gravidarum.
Attendees can choose which story best interests them, listen to their chosen speaker’s experience and ask questions.
Those who attend must be at least 19 years old.
