June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month in Lincoln

Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird is proclaiming June Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month in Lincoln.

Next month, the mayor will honor individuals in the community affected by Alzheimer’s disease, which includes dementia.

They will be caregiver, family members and those with the disease.

The Nebraska Chapter of The Alzheimer’s Associations estimates that more than 16,000 people in the Capital City are directly affected by the disease.
