Authorities identify man and woman found dead after shooting

Lincoln Police have identified two people killed following a shooting in north Lincoln Thursday evening.

Police said 48-year-old Adnan Almansouri and 35-year-old Rasha Khaled were found deceased inside a home near 14th Street and Humphrey Avenue around 5 p.m., both with apparent gunshot wounds.

They said five children were removed from the home and were safe. Police said the children ranged in age from three to 14, and included four girls and one boy.

A woman who lives across the street told Channel 8 Eyewitness News she was home when the shooting happened. She said she heard screaming and went outside to find the couple’s five children running out of the home. They were crying and saying there had been a shooting.

She said the children are staying with a family member.

Investigators are conducting interviews and analyzing the scene. Police said they aren’t looking for any suspects and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
