Man found dead after rural central Nebraska house fire

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a deadly house fire in rural central Nebraska.
On Wednesday around 4 p.m., the Gosper County Sheriff’s Office was sent to a home at Johnson Lake for a welfare check.
A deputy arrived at the scene and found that the home was involved in a fire.
The deputy entered the home and discovered a man inside, the sheriff’s office said. He was pronounced dead, and an autopsy was ordered.
The Gosper County Sheriff’s Office is helping in the investigation.
