Lincoln Public Schools highlights work of 14 school resource officers
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Public Schools shined a spotlight Thursday on the work done by school resource officers.
Thursday was National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day.
The district currently employs 14 school resource officers from the Lincoln Police Department.

LPS said the day highlights the collaboration among youth, law enforcement and the community.
Officer Nolan Hauser, who works at Lincoln High School, said it’s rewarding to have conversations with students he sees daily.
“If you’re having a rough day or just to say hi, he’s there,” freshman Payton Colburn said of Hauser.
