Warmth without the wind, small chance for few sprinkles into Thursday

Yesterday was so warm, getting back to the 70s for the first time in Lincoln since mid-November! What’s great about this Wednesday forecast is we get most of the warmth but without the wind this time. We’ll also see more of a mix of sun and clouds today.

Day Planner Pivot

Tonight, a cool front will move through and will lead to slightly cooler temperatures for Thursday and Friday. Still well above average for this point in February. The wind will come back for those two days, too, and it’ll be out of the northwest.

Along that front, a few light rain showers will struggle to get any moisture to the surface with how dry the low levels are. The better chance for a quick moving shower will happen through the southern Panhandle and southwest Nebraska as this system slides mainly to our south. By early Thursday morning, we’d only see a few sprinkles, if anything, from this.

Up to a quarter inch is more likely out west, whereas most will remain dry heading into the weekend.

Dma Precipitation Any Model

Then, we’re making a run for the 60s and 70s already by the weekend and into early next week.
