Over $2,000 in tools, wire stolen from northeast Lincoln construction site

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several tools were reported stolen Tuesday from a construction site in northeast Lincoln.

Officers were sent to the site near 70th Street and Fletcher Avenue around 9:30 a.m. on a report of a burglary.

An employee reported that someone entered the job site through an unlocked door.

They stole “numerous” hand tools and about 250 feet of wire, according to police.

The job site was not damaged, but there was an estimated loss of $2,060, police said.

An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
