Huskers hold off Hoosiers for first Big Ten road win

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska men’s basketball defeated Indiana 85-70 on Wednesday night in its first Big Ten road win of the season.
The victory in Bloomington, Indiana, strengthens the 19-8 Huskers’ case for making the NCAA tournament.
Nebraska shot 49% from the field and 42% from 3-point range.
The Hoosiers (14-12) managed 43% from the field but made only four 3-pointers on 21 attempts.
The Huskers built an early lead and entered halftime up 51-31.
But Indiana outscored Nebraska 25-8 in the first nine minutes of the second half, shrinking NU’s lead to 3.
The Huskers responded with a 14-1 run over the next five minutes to maintain the upper hand.
Keisei Tominaga led Nebraska with 20 points, followed by Jamarques Lawrence with 19, Brice Williams with 18 and Juwan Gary with 15.
Nebraska hosts Minnesota on Sunday. The game starts at 5:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
