LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The new and improved Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha is reopening later this year.

The museum, which closed in 2022 for a multimillion-dollar renovation, is scheduled to open its doors again on Sept. 10.

The new Rhonda & Howard Hawks Pavilion expands the gallery space by more than 40%, officials said in a press release.

The museum’s two original buildings will house a “complete reinstallation” of its collection.

New exhibitions, featuring works by Kehinde Wiley and Eva LeWitt, will also be featured at Joslyn.

The museum is free and open to the public.
