Two arrested for attempted theft from Denton dealership

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people they believe may be connected to a string of crimes in Denton. 

They staked out a stolen car found at a hotel near 27th and I-80  Wednesday night. That’s when 26-year-old Elizabeth Johnson and 33-year-old Travis Griffin were arrested. 

They pair were also reportedly caught on surveillance trying to steal a car from the Little Country Cars dealership in Denton Sunday. 

Authorities are investigating whether the two are connected to other recent crimes in Denton.
