LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Tuesday after police say he threatened a person with a knife at a north Lincoln home.

Around 6:45 p.m., the 62-year-old victim locked themselves in a bedroom at a home near 57th and Judson streets.

Austin Herbert, 28, had threatened the victim with a torch light, knife and hammer, according to police.

Herbert then tried breaking through the bedroom door by stabbing it with a knife, police said.

When officers arrived, they arrested Herbert on suspicion of terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

The victim was not injured.
