UPDATE: Police investigating conflicting reports about teenager shot in the leg

Lincoln Police are still investigating reports of a 17-year-old male shot in the leg.

Officer Angela Sands said the teen initially told police he was walking near Lincoln High when he heard a popping sound and then felt pain in his leg.

He later reported he was actually head east on O Street when it happened.

Sands said they’re also looking into how the bullet entered his leg, as the exit wounds show the bullet had a downward trajectory.

At this point police haven’t listed any suspects in the case.
