Driver cited with DUI after SUV crashes into Lincoln garage

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man was ticketed after crashing into a garage, police say.

Capt. Duane Winkler said Friday that the 48-year-old driver was cited on suspicion of DUI.

The crash happened Thursday evening near 72nd Street and Yankee Woods Drive.

Police said an SUV hit a parked car, then slammed into a home’s attached garage.

Users of the NOW Local News App sent in video of the aftermath.

The SUV knocked out the garage door and a wall.

Police estimated the damage to the garage at about $50,000.

The driver was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

No one else was injured.
